Kia carnival vs honda odyssey 202112/10/2023 Fold down the third rows and the Odyssey comes out on top, and it nearly equals the Carnival if both vans have the second row removed. The Odyssey has 32.8 cubic feet behind the third row while the Carnival posts 40.2 cubic feet. The Carnival wins in terms of cargo capacity. The second row of seats can also move from side to side - a clever touch to create more room where you need it. You'll find it easy to install child's seats of all shapes and sizes thanks to plentiful space and accessible anchors. Overall, the Odyssey is more dialed in and satisfying.Īside from its surprising drive experience, the Odyssey is every bit the handy minivan it seems. It also has a stiffer suspension than the Odyssey, so you will experience more vibration from time to time. By comparison, the Carnival drives more like a bulky SUV. It has accurate handling and a smooth ride. In general, the Odyssey is more nimble than you'd expect. The Odyssey comes standard with a gutsy V6 engine paired with a crisp-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. But in the case of the Honda Odyssey, it's worth mentioning this van's spritely manner, at least for the purposes of contrasting it against the Carnival. OK, OK - sporty driving might be the last thing on your mind when shopping for a minivan. Toyota has produced an impressive minivan, and while the Carnival occasionally outshines it, we still consider the Sienna an intelligent choice. Its total maximum space of 101 cubic feet is far less than the Carnival at 145.1 cubic feet. It has less maximum space because you cannot remove the Sienna's second row of seats (they fold up against the front row). The Sienna also trails the class in terms of maximum cargo capacity. The Carnival has a smaller standard screen but it's more capable. Firstly, the Sienna makes poor use of its standard 9-inch screen, and glare from the sun can make it nearly unusable. The Carnival deserves similar praise here. We're also fans of the advanced driver aids and neat optional features (such as a cabin intercom system) that can make driving safer and reduce distractions. There is plenty of room for all passengers and excellent outward visibility from the driver's seat. When it comes to traditional minivan attributes, the Sienna shines. The Carnival feels heftier and stiffer by comparison. The Sienna is also easy to drive - it has smooth steering and handles like a smaller car. The Carnival only comes with front-wheel drive. The enhanced traction from AWD can be a real plus if you frequently drive on slippery roads. In comparison, the Carnival has a more typical EPA estimate of 22 mpg combined (19 city/26 highway).Īnother Sienna benefit is the available all-wheel drive. We've found these numbers super easy to match in real-world driving too. ![]() It returns outstanding fuel economy to the tune of an EPA-estimated 36 mpg combined (36 city/36 highway). The big upside to the Sienna is its standard hybrid powertrain. That's mostly good but leaves it trailing the Carnival in a few areas. The redesigned Sienna largely follows in the footsteps of the previous Sienna. Toyota Sienna debate, or who are trying to decide on buying a Chrysler Pacifica or Honda Odyssey, is it time to instead bring home a Carnival? Read on to see which stands out as the best minivan around. For shoppers who have wrestled with the Honda Odyssey vs. Revised styling and a new infotainment join the van's outstanding ability to quickly switch from school shuttle to cargo hauler.Īs a replacement for the previous Sedona, Kia's Carnival is better positioned to make a splash. Finally, there's the updated 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. There's also the redesigned 2021 Toyota Sienna, which has a new look and a standard hybrid powertrain that gets great fuel economy. ![]() It's also versatile and, as minivans go, enjoyable to drive. ![]() The 2022 Honda Odyssey boasts plentiful passenger space in all three rows.

Sign up for daily bible verse texts12/10/2023 10When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard this, it displeased them greatly that someone had come to seek the welfare of the people of Israel.ġ1So I came to Jerusalem and was there for three days. Why should my face not be sad, when the city, the place of my ancestors’ graves, lies waste, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?” 4Then the king said to me, “What do you request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven. 2So the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This can only be sadness of the heart.” Then I was very much afraid. Now, I had never been sad in his presence before. He fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed.ġ4 He has raised up a horn for his people,įor the people of Israel who are close to him.ġIn the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was served him, I carried the wine and gave it to the king. ![]() ![]() I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God The early rain also covers it with pools. 4 Happy are those who live in your house,ĥ Happy are those whose strength is in you,

Eddie izzard stand up streaming12/10/2023 ![]() The reason? These pupils are all the daughters of high-ranking Nazis, who sent their children to be educated abroad. She plays Thomas Miller, a British intelligence agent working undercover as a teacher at a finishing school for girls on the south coast. I’m an average, boring person trying to get better.” Izzard can now add screenwriter to her CV, having co-written Six Minutes to Midnight, a thriller set on the cusp of the Second World War. “Somebody said, ‘Why is he trying to be a so-so actor when he’s a brilliant comedian?’ I said, ‘Well, I used to be a so-so comedian.’ I always start pretty crap. She mentions a quote from Believe, a 2009 documentary about her life and career. “If you look at my early film work, it’s not good,” says Izzard. ![]() But there was an equal determination to succeed in the dramatic arena. And it took so long for the comedy to take off.” When it did, her surreal stream-of-consciousness style put her to the fore of the 90s comedy scene. “I decided to concentrate on comedy because I felt I couldn’t do the drama. Mine… didn’t.” Eddie Izzard plays an undercover agent in ‘Six Minutes to Midnight’ (Photo: Amanda Searle/ Sky Cinema Original)Īcting took a backseat when Izzard went to study accountancy at university and tried out comedy. I walked round for two hours, trying to get hired.” She didn’t – she was kicked out. “One of the last things my mum did before she died was make a raven outfit for me.” Drama was always a first love, to the point where Izzard broke into Pinewood Studios aged 15, sneaking in via a side entrance, “like Clint Eastwood in Where Eagles Dare. I used to self-analyse it and how I felt about it, and then I started applying it to my comedy career and a whole bunch of things.” Born in Yemen – her father was an accountant for BP – Izzard’s early years were spent in Wales, attending schools in Swansea and Porthcawl and performing in plays. “I developed all these analytical tools – bizarrely from coming out as transgender. “I’m very happy with that.” Izzard believes it has helped her writing. “Now that pronouns have come out, it feels like a promotion,” she said. “I just think if you’re transgender and came out years ago, you’ve got to be fairly optimistic.” In December, Izzard revealed she had adopted the pronouns “she” and “her”, expanding on earlier interviews in which she identified as gender-fluid. ![]() There have been plenty of dramatic roles since The Secret Agent – from Valkyrie with Tom Cruise to Victoria & Abdul with Dame Judi Dench – but this rollicking, old-fashioned thriller is Izzard’s first credit as co-writer, and her mood is as bright as the spring sunshine. “You can do a fine-wine type career instead of a rocket.” We are sitting in the picturesque grounds of a Welsh farmhouse, where Izzard’s new movie, Six Minutes to Midnight, is being shot. Acting began a few years later – a West End debut in David Mamet’s The Cryptogram in 1994, followed by a first major movie, The Secret Agent, two years after that. “I seem to be either blessed – or cursed – with the slow-career thing.” That rather depends on your view of slow – Izzard’s first stand-up appearance was at The Comedy Store, aged 25, in 1987. “I spent years getting to this point,” says Eddie Izzard.

2018 tampa bay lightning roster12/10/2023 ![]() The cross-border travel restrictions under the pandemic also forced the league to temporarily realign this season into four divisions with no conferences, putting all seven Canadian teams into one of those divisions. Consequently, a divisional-based postseason format was held, featuring intra-divisional matchups in the first two rounds. The four divisional playoff champions were then re-seeded by regular season points in the Stanley Cup Semifinals, with the winners of the Semifinals advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals. Under a normal playoff format, this finals matchup would be impossible, as both the Lightning and Canadiens compete in the NHL's Eastern Conference. However, under the temporarily realigned divisions, some had mixed conferences, which enabled this scenario. This was the first Finals since 2009 to be played entirely in the Eastern Time Zone, the first since 2011 to feature a Canadian-based team, the first since 2015 to end in a team winning the Stanley Cup at home, and the first since 2018 to require less than six games. This Finals matchup broke the Stanley Cup Finals record for highest combined seed between teams, with twenty-six (Tampa Bay eighth, and Montreal eighteenth). Main articles: 2020–21 NHL season § Impact of COVID-19 and temporary realignment, and 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs This record was previously held by the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals, which had a combined seed of twenty-three. The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the league for the second straight year with the Government of Canada maintaining its cross-border travel restrictions. ![]() Consequently, the league temporarily realigned for this season into four regional divisions with no conferences, putting all seven Canadian teams into one of those divisions. Each team played 56 regular season games, all intra-divisional matchups. The league returned to the traditional 16-team playoff format, with the first two rounds of the playoffs also featuring intra-divisional matchups. This format delayed any possibility of cross-border travel until the third round. The league explored the possibility of having the Canadian team that advanced to the third round hold their home games in a neutral NHL city in the U.S. but were granted a cross-border travel exemption approved by the Public Health Agency of Canada. ĭue to local COVID-19 health protocols during the regular season, all 24 American teams hosted a limited amount of in-person spectators while all seven Canadian teams played behind closed doors. During the first three rounds of the playoffs, a number of U.S. teams further increased their capacity, and three of the Canadian playoff teams admitted spectators for the first time. The Canadiens were the first team from Canada to offer tickets to the general public. Main article: 2020–21 Montreal Canadiens season The Canadiens were permitted to issue 3,500 tickets for the Bell Centre after Quebec health officials denied the team's request to increase it to 10,500 fans (50 percent of capacity) before game 3.īy the time the Finals started, Florida health officials had allowed the Lightning to admit 16,300 fans (85 percent of full capacity) at Amalie Arena for game 1, then allowed up to 100% capacity for game 2 and beyond. This was the thirty-fifth Stanley Cup Finals appearance for this team. They have won the Stanley Cup a record twenty-four times (the second most championships in major North American sports behind the New York Yankees' twenty-seven World Series victories). They are the most recent Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup, doing so in 1993 (their most recent Finals appearance) against the Los Angeles Kings, winning in five games. They were also the first Canadian team since the 2011 Vancouver Canucks to reach the Finals.
